Godly Play

What is Godly Play? Children have an innate sense of the presence of God. The Godly Play approach helps them to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience though wonder and play. Based on Montessori principles and developed using a spiral curriculum, the Godly Play method serves children through early, middle and late childhood and beyond. Come join us!

Recently, we have been focusing on a Lectio Divina style Bible study, working our way through the Gospels. Especially seeking the answer to several questions: “What does the text say?”, “What is God saying to me through the text?”, “What do you want to say to God about the text?”, and “What do you want to do based on your prayer?" We oftentimes work our way through special devotionals during the church’s preparative seasons of Advent and Lent. At other times, we have courses on teachings of The Episcopal Church and other aspects of our spirituality. We also offer regular classes in preparation for Confirmation and Baptism.
